If you have an emergency, need to report a crime in progress, are injured as the result of an incident, or need an officer dispatched to a crime location, please dial 911.  Do not use this site.

This online service is for reporting non-emergency incidents that occurred within Story County Iowa except for incidents that occur within the city limits of Cambridge, Huxley, Nevada, or Story City.  Incidents that occur in these cities must be reported directly to those agencies. 

Reports submitted via online must meet the following conditions:

·         There is NOT a suspect

·         There is NO evidence to process.

·         The crime being reported must NOT be in progress.

·         Vandalism must be estimated to be under $500.00

The crime being reported CANNOT be a violent crime.

It is illegal in the state of Iowa to falsely or fraudulently report a crime (Iowa Code 718.6, False reports to or communications with Public Safety entities).  Violators will be prosecuted.
